For the past half century, Taylor Made windshield
systems have been the standard by which all others are measured. As a pioneer
in curved plexiglass windshields, Taylor helped shape the face of pleasure
boats worldwide. The tradition continues with curved and compound curved
tempered safety glass systems..
Taylor Made tempered safety glass is state-of-the-art. It is thinner,
stronger, distortion-free, and optically flawless. It is available in all
our windshield systems and meets or exceeds ISO 9002 standards of safety
and quality, as well as D.O.T. and the American Boat and Yacht Council
recomondations based on U.S.C.G. safety standards.
Taylor manufacturing techniques guarantee smooth bends and flawless
finishes designed to meet your exacting specifications. We use three assembly
techniques; screws, barrel bolts or rivets, and full precision welding.
Aluminum frames are extruded 6061/6063
alloy available in four finishes; electrostatically applied acrylic polymer
coatings, powder coatings, prepainted sparkling silver, and buff brite
anodized. Painted finishes undergo a five-partt preparation for either
powder or acrylic polymer coatings.
Stainless steel frames are 316L or 304 roll-formed, and hand- polished
to a #8 mirror finish.
Highest quality thermoelastic weather sealant material provides maximum
holding capabilities and weather protection.
The windshield systems outlined in these pages represent our
current line. However, Taylor customer service staff willingly works with
boatbuilders on prototypes and custom designed systems.
